Dr. Conomos researches computationally efficient statistical methods for analysis of large-scale genotype and phenotype data in diverse populations with complex structure, including ancestry admixture, familial relatedness, shared environments, and phenotype distribution heterogeneity. He has developed methods for genetic association testing, population structure inference, and relatedness estimation, and he has implemented these methods in the GENESIS R package. He also has extensive QC experience with both genotyping array and sequencing data. He is a member of the coordinating center for the Polygenic Risk Methods in Diverse Populations (PRIMED) Consortium and the data coordinating center for the Genomics Research to Elucidate the Genetics of Rare Diseases (GREGoR) Consortium.
