After completing her PhD in biostatistics at the UW on survival analysis, most of her work over the past 20 years has focused on HIV vaccine research, including the design and analysis of clinical trials and methods for the analysis of immunologic endpoints. She has also worked in other infectious disease areas including dengue, Ebola, HPV, and EBV. Current research includes longitudinal analyses of immune responses to SARS-CoV-2. She has a passion for teaching biostatistics and in statistical capacity-building in Africa.
